At GSN, we strive to challenge the current modus operandi of China's manufacturing labour practices by promoting the social wellbeing of our emplyees instead of exploiting them. We want to distinguish ourselves by shaping a world in which justice and sustainable development are at the heart of a value creation structures which allow everyone - through their labour - to maintain a decent and dignified livelihood and fully develop their human potential.

 

Employee participation is the foundation of our CSR strategy and a key driver for continous improvement. Thanks to our innovative approach to employee relations our average employee turnover rate over the last four years remains as low as 1,8 %.

We are committed to ensuring full social compliance of all our operations and strive to create social innovation by going even beyond local legal requirements. Thus, we are continously reviewing our management approach to better take the social needs of our employees into account. Innovative business and social practices are tested on a pilot project level first to evaluate the effects on work performance as much as on the social wellbeing of the employees before fully implementing them into our operations. If the anticipated value added does not prove to be sustainable or beneficial enough on the long-term, the practice is either modified or discontinued.
